Our appraisers provide real property appraisals for facilities which primary use is to educate, from for-profit and Single Tenant Net Lease (STNL) daycare, charter schools, and commuter colleges, to not-for-profit schools, camps, religious facilities, museums, prisons, and residential university and college campus. We have also appraised ancillary education campus facilities such as museums, prisons, sports complexes, student commons, parking garages, R&D facilities, laboratories, performing arts centers, art galleries, observatories, student housing, on-campus medical facilities, on-campus hotels, etc.
Our clients include academic administrators, conventional banks, investment bankers, insurers, and government entities, such as USDA and SBA.
Our Team's Advantage
Our firm has as current owners, partners, or affiliate appraisers, three individuals who hold the MAI designation and one individual with the AI-GRS designation of the Appraisal Institute. Some individuals may hold more than one Appraisal Institute designation. EDU Appraisers is a division of Scott Collins Company, LLC, a commercial appraisal firm established in 1952 and headquartered in Knoxville, TN. Each of our appraisers have between 20 and 50 years of commercial real estate experience and our support staff has been working with us for over a decade. The team is lead by Jerrod L. Gaertner, MAI. Our leadership has also been involved in budgeting, leasing, design, and construction of education and related facilities. We understand the unique challenges of this specialty property type.
